Resolute MkIII - DLC - Black and White

CAD$470 (USD$350)

Delivery time: 4-6 months. Each knife is made to order.

The Resolute MkIII camping / trail / survival knife was designed to be a 'jack-of-all-trades' knife for the outdoorsman. This knife will carve wood, prepare food, butcher game, and split firewood with ease.

The blade is made from supremely tough A2 tool steel, which in my testing has been shown to be able to take more abuse than any reasonable person would want to put it through. The tang of the blade is skeletonized to remove unnecessary weight and improve balance, while the blade geometry itself is designed to emphasize cutting performance while still being tough. The blade is coated with DLC, an ultra-tough and highly wear resistant coating that will stay looking great for a long time and help protect the blade from corrosion.

The handle is made from an extremely durable and water-resistant composite material called G10. It's a high-pressure laminate made from fibreglass cloth and epoxy resin. It's highly impact and UV resistant, is not affected by water exposure, provides great grip and cleans easily. The handle is attached to the tang of the blade with stainless steel bolts, ensuring that it will never fail when you need it.

The integrated window-breaker on the butt of the handle adds to the knife's utility in a survival situation while not detracting from grip comfort.

The thermoformed Kydex sheath retains the knife even under the most gruelling conditions without the need for cumbersome clips or straps, and offers a range of carry and mounting options, PALS/MOLLE compatibility, and more.

Each knife is individually engraved with a serial number and my makers mark when it is completed. (Please note: engraving on the new knives will be black rather than silver)

More information:

My A2 steel is melted/poured/rolled in Germany by specialty tool steel supplier 'Lohmann Stahl', then further processed to my specifications by 'The Kinetic Co' in Wisconsin, USA. My raw G10 stock and handle fasteners are also 100% made in the USA, supplied by 'Alpha Knife Supply' and 'Jantz Supply' respectively. My knives are heat-treated in a high-tech vacuum furnace by a local Canadian company, and my DLC coatings are applied locally as well. All the tooling used in my CNC machine to help make the knives is also made in the USA by Maritool. I am committed to supporting local industry, and have close working relationships with all my suppliers to ensure I get the best possible materials and tooling!

All design, machining, hand finishing, assembly and quality control on the knives is done personally by me, in my workshop in Toronto, Canada. I am committed to making the best working knives it is possible to buy anywhere, and I spend a lot of hands-on time with each knife to help ensure that!

Thanks for participating in this pre-order! Your patience and support is hugely appreciated!
